Date Night

Jethro and I had a date night with our girlies!
It turned out to be kind of a sports themed date night
First we went to dinner at Iggys Sports Grill

Then we went to the Smithfield House at BYU to watch mens volleyball.

It was a fun game to watch the little that I did get to watch, poor Penina didn't like all the noise of the buzzer and the people cheering so she and I took a walk the first half of the game. We were going to leave but then my sister in-law and her family showed up so we decided to stay. We decided to sit in the very back bleachers where the noise wasn't so bothersome to Penina and watched the rest of the game.

It was lots of fun, something diffrent from the norm of movie or bowling.

Jethro has brain washed Ana into becoming a BYU fan and she loves to chant the last part of the fight song "Rah rah rah rah rah GOOOOO COUGERS!

I took this picture because Ana picked out an interesting outfit that day: her dads BYU football shirt, purple pants and snow boots. And this is her Master Tigress move of jumping off the couch, she keeps me laughing!!

Valentines Day

We had a happy Valentines day, we partyed the night before with family but I didn't get any pictures of it. It was fun though we had everyone bring their favorite pizza and we played guitar hero world tour band. Valentines morning Ana and Penina woke to a few Valentines suprises.
Ana loves doing puzzles so she got a Care Bear Puzzle and some candy and Penina got a Tiger Puzzle (which she'll enjoy more a few year down the road) and a "Love Bug" rattle.

Then Of course we had pink pancakes, I tried to make some heart shape but I can never get them to turn out right.
But Penina had rice cereal!
Because I had to work we just hung out at home and watched A Charlie Brown Valentine.

On the brain....

I hate this world we live in; it feels like money rules over us. In my job I'm seeing more and more the effect the poor economy is having on Utah. So many people getting laid off and not able to pay their bills. It hurts me to see this happen and it worries me to think when it will happen to us. The prophets counsel of stay out of debt and build your food storage is ever so clear these days. I know money doesn't rule over us and if we ever come to that point in life that we go without it I know the Lord will provide. The church is amazing and I wish so much that the government and businesses would look at its structure and pattern after it. The church is set up to help us in so many ways: spiritually, financially, physically, and mentally. The church has food storage, welfare service, education funds and soooo much more! Most importantly the church has the true and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ!

On a happier note....

I love this picture!!

Great Valentine Dessert Idea

On Studio 5 the other day they made a yummy Chocolate Cherry Cake it looked so good but unfortunately chocolate doesn't agree with my lil'one, since I'm nursing I can't have too much chocolate. SO I decided to make this recipe using a yellow cake mix instead.....OH MY GOSH!! I just have to say in the word of Gracie Sullivan "Perfecto-yummo" It turned out to be really good. I just added cool whip to the top instead of frosting and it was really good!! I think this would make fun valentines dessert, especially because it comes out pink thanks to the cherries!!

1 yellow cake mix
1 can of Cherry Pie filling
2 eggs

Pour everything in a bowl and stir, don't use mixer or the the cherries will mash up. Put in greased pan and bake at 350 for 30-45 mins

Top with cool whip or frosting whatever you prefer!

ENJOY!!!!
