My daughter the dog

Ana Loves dogs, she loves to watch 101 Dalmations and there is a part on the movie all the dogs are barking a message to each other and they use all diffrent kinds of barks and Ana loves that part. Well Ana not only loves dogs she loves to pretent to be a dog. It makes me laugh to hear her bark cuz she sounds just like a dog. Here is a video of her in action, if you listen carefully you can hear the neighbors dog barking back.

A Happy Happy Birthday

This bast Sunday was my birthday. I had a great 29th birthday lol Jethro and Ana took me to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen but before we went to lunch Jethro said he wanted to stop at RC Willey and check some thing out in the electronics department but when we pulled up we pulled up to customer pick up. Jethro had gone the day before and bought the glider chair I've been wanting and so we were there picking it up it was such a nice surprise!! After lunch we went to Thanksgiving Point and Ana got to see all the animals and ride the pony and then we went to the Dinosaur Museum and played around there. After that we went home and put my chair together and then my parents came and gave me the book "The Host" and took us to dinner! It was such a fun day but it didn't stop there the next day, sunday, after church Jethro made dinner while I relaxed in my new chair and then later we went for a walk at a place called Highland Hiking Trail. It was such a nice day. I'm so grateful for such a wonderful husband and daughter who spoil me and make me so happy!! I've included a slide show of what we did for my birthday!! Also this is the glider, reliner, swivler chair I've been wanting that Jethro gave me for my birthday!!
Also I want to wish my dearest friend Angie Inez Pectol Sullivan a very Happy Birthday as well. Angie and I grew up together and we share the same birthday, I was born on Angie's 2nd birthday. Despite the age diffrence we were best friends growing up! We had a blast together and we love to sit around and laugh about all the funny crazy things we use to do! Angie has listed a few on her blog but some that I have fond memories of are playing house in the big canvas tent in her back yard, riding bikes to Gas-n-Go, roller skating to Xanadu, and night games in the cul-de-sac. Thinking back on these memories I feel like we had the best childhood anyone could ever have! Thanks Ang for all the good times. Also for those of you who don't know not only do Angie and I share a birthday, our daughters also share a birthday. I just love that Heavenly Father truly knows us and knew to send Eve on Ana's 1st birthday so that we can always have that to share!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGIE!! (sorry I stole these from your site Angie hahaha)

I love my daughter to death, but by the time nap time comes I can't wait for her to go to sleep. I need that time to myself to regain patience for her. Here are a few moments she has fallen asleep in a cute and unusual way.

This first one is at her cousin Spencers house, all the adults were hanging out talking and we found her and Spencer asleep in front of the tv, he was all snuggled up to her.

Ana loves to play on her Leapfrog Clickstart, which I highly recommend to anyone with a two, three or four year old. She has learned her letters and sounds and numbers from this fabulous toy, plus it keeps her busy for at least 15 or 20 minutes! This day she fell asleep while playing her games.

Ana loves to pretend to be a dog, she was being really quiet one day and I found her laying in the laundry basket she started barking at me when I came in so I assume she was pretending this was a doggie bed. I let her play in there but when I came back to check on her she had fallen asleep in the basket of laundry!!

For months Ana has been scared to go number 2 in the toilet but she does just fine going pee in the toilet. So whenever she has needed to go "kaka", is what we call it, she puts on a pull up and does her thing. We've really tried to encourage her to go kaka in the toilet but she has refused, one day while she was playing at her cousins house she needed to go kaka and so my sister in-law told Ana she didn't have any diapers so she put Ana on the toilet and Ana went in the toilet. We were so happy, Ana was so proud of herself so we thought hurray we are done with pull ups to our dismay Ana refused to make kaka's in the toilet after that. That girl has buns of steel she would whine she needed to go but I used the same trick my sister in-law did and told her we didn't have diapers Ana held it in for three days! I thought for sure it would just shoot out on its own or something so we struggled for a couple of weeks to get her to make kaka's in the toilet again after making kaka's in her pants a couple of times Ana finally by herself made kaka's in the toilet. I was helping a customer (we live on site at a self storage facility) and Ana was calling for me but of course I couldn't help her right away, so as soon as the customer left I walked in to see what Ana needed and she was washing her hands and proudly announced she made kaka's in the toilet by herself, she even wiped her self too (but I did a wipe check just to be sure she was clean) she did a pretty good job. She was so excited that she did it and I was so proud of her. So for her reward she wanted to wear her swimming suit even though it was cold and rainy outside and I gave her a candy necklace for her treat!! This is Ana posing for the camera, she likes so stick her butt out, she thinks it so funny!!

Excited to be a big sister

I often like to watch the show on TLC called A Baby Story. If you've never heard of it, its a reality show they feature a family that is about to have a baby they show what the family has done to prepare for the new baby and the delivery of the baby. I might not be the best mom because I let Ana watch this show with me. She is very fascinated with babies and gets excited whenever she sees a baby on TV or in the store. This time when we were watching A Baby Story she was really excited when the mom was pushing the baby out so I got the camera and decided to film her excitement. She is gonna be a good big sister. Watching this video makes me wonder how excited she will be when we finally have our baby!! Of course I'm not gonna let her watch the delivery I'm not that kind of a mother but when she see's her baby sister for the first time will be exciting!!

My favorite toys

My friend Angie blogged about an old toy she use to play with and it got me to thinking how fun it would be to start a blog tag of favorite toys. Any of you reading this can join in with me in blogging about favorite toys, be it toys you use to play with or toys your kids play with!

I have lots of favorite toys I've played with over the years and some I've saved and some have moved on to other kids and DI and such. BUT I have over the years managed to save a few toys that Ana now plays with. I gathered them up and took pictures of them. The first is one of my most favorites as a child, this is my baby "Jennifer" I use to carry her around like she was a real baby I'd feed her changer her diaper and at night I would even put her into her PJ's and put her to bed and in the morning she would take a bath and get dressed. My mom claims she is the first grandchild lol
Oh and the craddle the doll is in was mine as well. I'm glad I kept that you can't find good doll furniture like that any more.
Next is a bunch of other dolls I use to love to play with, My Child, Cabbage Patch, Todd from Fox and the Hound, and a doll that is also a book about little red riding hood.

This next group of toys is my collection. I grew up on the muppets I've always loved the muppets and as a teenager I would collect everything I could that was muppets from shirts, toys, keychains, posters, dinnerware, mugs, I have a lot more muppet stuff then this but this is all I could find without digging thru storage. I even have a Kermit the Frog phone but its in a box somewhere. I'm a muppets freak!! I've had to tone down since I got married since I don't have anywhere to display this stuff anymore, one day tho I plan on having a room in my house that is "The Muppet Room"

So those are a few of my favorite toys, please share your favs I can't wait to see what they are and what toys you may have saved over the years!!

Happy Mothers Day!

I got this poem in an email and loved it, its so true!!

Before I was a Mom

I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom

I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn' t want to put him down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -

I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.

I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,

the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

I just want to take this time to tell all the mom's in my life, my mom, sister, sister in-laws, mother in-law, friends and of course grandma's how much I love and appreciate them. Thank you for all your wonderful examples and guidance. I'm so grateful for being blessed with such wonderful moms in my life THANK YOU!!

Jethro's parents have never seen Ana in person since she was born along with a few other grand kids because just after Ana was born they were called to serve in the Samoa Temple presidency. So this year they will be released and we are planning to have a family reunion this summer. I'm so excited for Ana to see her grandma and grandpa Fano in person and also to play with all her cousins that she doesn't get to see very often. So to make sure she isn't too shy I show her home videos of the cousins, uncles and aunty's so she will be so excited to see everyone at the reunion. I also wanted her to know every ones names so I saw this cute idea in a magazine and decided to do it. I printed off pictures of everyone and stuck it on to magnets. Ana loves it and plays with it everyday and almost knows all the names of her cousins, uncles and aunty's!
I love spring! I'm so happy to have warm weather so we can go outside and play, but some days are so weird. Last week we had a day that started sunny and blue
skies by the afternoon it was snowing. Ana was so excited when it started snowing she wanted so bad to build "frosty" but of course the snow didn't stick and so we couldn't build a real "frosty" so we made a frost-less Frosty! I got out some old
thermals I've haven't worn for years and cut the leg off and we stuffed it with plastic sacks and made "frosty". As you can see it was a lazy day and Ana stayed in her night shirt most of the day but we had fun making "Frosty"

We have a vent in our overhang on the house that doesn't have a cover and now that spring is here the birds think its a great place to build a nest so every morning Ana and I go out with a broom and scare the birds away we even stuffed plastic sacks up there until we can find a cover for the hole but the bird pulled the sacks out and I've been searching all around the house for something to put there to keep the birds out. Frosty has a new duty these days.......
He does a great job, Ana and I had a good laugh as we watched the birds try to fly in to the vent only to discovery "Frosty" in their way.
This bird had just been startled by "Frosty" and is sitting there with a stick in its mouth looking around thinking now were is he going to build his nest. WAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
