Tuesday Tell All

I can't think of anything new to put on the blog today so I resorted to the "Tuesday Tell All" http://tuesdaytellall.blogspot.com/ but I'm putting a twist on it and telling you all what this summers favorite treat has been. This summer I have been craving cheese burgers and the one burger that satisfies my craving is a Mushroom Bruger from JCW's mmmmmmmmmmm If you have never heard of JCW's its THEE burger joint in AF. It is sooo good, if you are ever looking for a place with good burgers and sandwiches THIS IS THE PLACE!! http://www.jcws.com/ Next time I have a mushroom burger I'll try to take a picture before I devour it lol!!! AND the best part of it all is that even tho I've been eating more then I should I didn't gain a pound since my last appointment!! So I have no guilt in eating these days.....I can only get away with it while I'm pregnant so I'm going to take advantage of it while I can!!!!!

Utahs best kept seceret!

Jethro and I have discovered a little place in Spanish Fork call Spanish Oaks Resevoir. Its a fun place to take your family fishing and swimming. Best of all its clean. We spent our Pioneer Day there and had a blast!! If you are looking for a fun family activity that won't cost much I highly recommend it!! For all you who miss the beach the its the next best thing!! Whenever you have those days you feel like I wish we could go hang out at the beach, pack up the fam and head on over, you might even see us there, we've been there almost every week, its so fun!!

Fun Times

First of all I want to thank all of those who responded to my "what to pack?" post I got some great ideas that I will use!!!

Second we've had a fun filled last couple of weeks and I'm gonna try and cram it all in to share with you how much fun we've had. American Fork had their Steel Days celebrations last week and they have this thing called "Picinic in the Park" its fun games and rides for kids and the best part is its all FREE!!!! I'm so glad American Fork does this every year, its a great night for kids and parents and then when it gets dark they usually show a movie on a big blow up screen, this year they showed "Horton Hears A Who" but we didn't stay maybe next year!! Then of course the next day we splurged a little on the carnival rides. Ana is Jethro's girl, she LOVES the rides she is a thrill seeker!! Jethro wasn't able to come with us to the carnival and Ana wanted to go on the Farris Wheele but I was too chicken to do it hahahaha!! I love rides to but ever since I was little I've always been scared of the Farris Wheel! So this slide show is of our fun at the American Fork Steel Days celebrations!!

What to pack!

5 weeks to go HOLY COW!! I'm so excited and so scared, am I ready for this? I'm not. I still have somethings to do before I feel ready, but one thing I want to do right this time around is pack appropriately for the hospital. When I had Ana I didn't use any of the things I packed and of all things I forgot to pack a toothbrush!! One thing I did take and will take again is my own pillow, hospital pillows are the worst and I need to be comfortable hehe! So I'm reaching out to you my fellow women of experience in the hospital what do you pack? Whats one thing on your list of must haves at the hospital, help me know what to do because its been soo long I can't remember what I should have packed!!

The Holy Ghost

This may not be great art to you but to me its a master piece!! This past month we've been teaching Ana the 1st Article of Faith and she can say it by heart, "We believe in God the Eternal Father and in His son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost"
So as we sat in sacrament meeting on sunday the speaker was talking about the Holy Ghost and Ana drew this cute little guy and said that it was the Holy Ghost. I was so proud of her not only for her drawing but for listening to the speaker and picking up on what he was talking about!! I know she didn't understand what he was saying but she heard the words that are familiar to her and focused on it while she was drawing!! It always amazes me how much Ana pays attention to and understands these days she is growing so fast!! When I can I'll get a video of her saying the 1st Article of Faith and post it!!

Stitches are out!!

Thanks everyone for your understanding and concern for Ana and for me having to deal with the drama of getting stitches in LOL I'm happy to report Ana got her stitches removed on Monday. Due to her last experiance she wasn't happy to be back at the doctors again and fought it for awhile, but I finally talked her into laying on the table while the Doctor held her head I held her feet and hands and the nurse cut the stitches. It went very fast, but Ana did fight it a bit. It makes me laugh the tone in her voice when she is pleading with the doctor but her shoe had fallen off and she said "Doctor Doctor my shoe my shoe Doctor" I wish I had it on video so you can hear how funny she sounds. But it was a sucess and she was very happy when it was done and she even thanked the doctor!!

FOUR!

Ana had her first golf lesson! Ever since Jethro went golfing with the boys Ana has wanted to go golfing with daddy. So we took her Saturday to Cascade's Mini golf course and she did her best at first to hit the ball and got a few good shots in. After awhile tho she just wanted to throw rocks in the water, so much for Jethro's dream of Ana being a child golf prodigy hahahaha

Happy Fourth of July!

The Fourth of July has got to be my most favorite holiday!! I love the parades and carnivals and fireworks. There is always something fun to do!! This year we started our day off at the Spanish Fork Reservoir. It was just us and Jethro's brother, Jr and his family. It was a lot of fun, the boys got up at 5:30AM and went fishing then Maria and I drove up around 9:30AM with the kids and Jethro and Jr cooked us breakfast and we played for a couple of hours on the beach. Then Jr and Maria went to Jethro's other brothers house for the rest of the day and Jethro and I went home and showered and took naps before we headed out with my family to the Stadium of Fire. I'm so mad I forgot my camera when we went to the stadium so I don't have any pictures of that. But Ana likes to watch Hannah Montana with me so she was excited to see Miley Cyrus. She danced and clapped and had as much fun as a 3 year old would! She loved the fireworks the most, you could tell by the time the fireworks started she was tired but she kept going until the last 10 minutes, she just couldn't keep her eyes open anymore and feel asleep!! It was a fun day. I'm so grateful for this beautiful land that we live in and for all the freedoms we enjoy! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Its hard to be a mom!

I love being a mom, but some days are harder then others. Yesterday was my day off and I was planning a fun day for Ana and me. I thought after I ran some errands we'd spend the afternoon at the Scera Pool and then go see Kung Fu Panda. WELL in the morning while I was talking to the lady who works for me on my days off Ana was playing with her daughter in the house when I heard a big crash and Ana crying.
I ran in to see what happened, Ana had climbed on top of her red and yellow Little Tykes car and fell off and it came crashing down on her. Well it hit her so hard in the face that she got a bloody nose and bit her lip so hard that she had a big gash in her upper lip. Blood filled her mouth and was gushing out of her nose, I grab some paper towels and cleaned it up until I could see where it was coming from, that's when I saw the big gash in her lip. We got the bleeding stopped and I took her to the doctor.
Ana has never liked going to the doctor and screams and kicks every time we go even just for a healthy check up. I always have to pin her down so the doctor can check her. We walk into the office and Ana immediately starts crying "I don't wanna go to the doctor" All the moms are looking at us with a smirk on their face, you can tell they were amused and yet felt bad for Ana at the same time. Our regular doctor wasn't in that day so while trying to calm Ana down I have to fill out paper work. The nurse comes and gets us and Ana is still crying "I don't want to see the doctor" We try to get her to do the eye chart but she just clung to me and cried her usual. So we give up on that and go into the exam room where she gets worse. I get frustrated because I don't know how to calm her down so I start crying LOL I was so embarrassed but I couldn't stop myself. Not only am I frustrated but pregnant so my emotions are hard to control at this point. Ana starts crying "I wanna go home" so I tell her we can't go home until the doctor looks at her owey, that seemed to do the trick. She stopped crying and said "OK" and I was relieved that worked. UNTIL the doctor came in, then she got even worse she screamed "I wanna go home,I don't wanna see the doctor" The doctor said I'll be back and left so I could calm her down. I tried...Ana wouldn't stop. So he came back and we pinned her to the table so he could see her lip. Its always heart breaking to have to do this but we had no choice. So the doctor said he'll have to stitch it back up so it heals nicely. At this point I'm wondering what are they going to do to get her to hold still long enough to stitch it. Then they pulled out this thing called the "Papoose" and strap her down so she can't move. It was so sad and she hated it of course. I started crying again but as heart breaking as it was, I couldn't help but laugh she was pleading with the doctor. "No doctor, No doctor my nose doesn't hurt I'm fine" , "Doctor I want my daddy doctor" ,"Doctor I'm stuck". The way she said it was soooo cute she wasn't crying anymore she was pleading. My favorite thing she said was after I told her she was going a good job she said "I don't want to do a good job" . Finally she was all stitched up and back in my arms it was over!!! I thanked the nurse and the doctor and apologized for crying. They understood, these things are just as hard on moms as it is on the kids. The nurse gave Ana a bunch of band aids and stickers for going threw such an ordeal, that made Ana happy she stuck them all over her legs. We got in the car to leave and I had to have one more good cry to release. That was seriously the most emotionally frustrating experience I've ever had. After running errands, taking Ana to see daddy we finally got to see Kung Fu Panda!! I was so grateful to be able to sit in the dark theater and watch Ana enjoy the movie after such a horrible beginning to the day!! When we got home we both bathed and knocked out the second our heads hit the pillow!
